Product Development and Design Intern
(July 2016 - March 2017)


- Worked alongside a team of 12 students in The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising's International Manufacturing and Product Development program to develop a marketable collection for Spring/Summer 2019
- Conducted global research and developed consumer insight for the 10-year-old female competitive athlete through a survey of 160 parent and consumer participants, focus groups, and market analysis
- Presented a cohesive theme, color, and print story to the NIKE Young Athletes Team
- Designed a 12-piece apparel sportswear collection for the Training Wear category
- Traveled to Paris and Milan for inspiration trips - attending Première Vision, Trend Union presentations, design workshops and visiting the Candiani Denim Mill
- Sourced and sampled 3 products domestically for fittings, wear testing, and photoshoots
- Traveled to Hong Kong for corporate and factory appointments with Nike, Alvanon Apparel, William E. Connor, SGS, Bureau Veritas, Frontline, Li & Fung, the Esquel Group, and Union Apparel International Ltd.
- Created detailed technical packages including a fit guide, fabric testing, and costing
